Surfing

 On March 17th  the Year 7/8s went to the Beach to go surfing, 

I did not go but from what I have heard it was very fun.

First they walked to the beach and listened to the Instructors to

tell them what to do.  They put on wet suits and eventually 

went into the water. Jennifer said she drowned.. so did Lily.

Have you ever been surfing? and were you good at it?

New Zealand Symphony Orchestra

 Last week on Thursday the 11 of march,

Some classes from our school went to the Town Hall to watch a very epic Symphony Orchestra. They were making very loud sounds with different instruments, It was very cool to watch.

They were playing the music to tell a story called 'Peter And The Wolf' There was a  man in a bright pink suit and a green tie who told they story while the orchestra people played. I was amazed at the mans facial expressions and how emotional he was while we told the story.

Today room 9/10 (the class im in) watched an animated video of the story, I found it cool how all the characters had an instrument aimed at them like...

Peter: Strings

Bird: Flute

Duck: Oboe

Cat: Clarinet

Wolf: French  Horns 

Hunters: Timpani/Drums

Grandpa: Bassoon
