Museum Team

 Dear Museum Team,

Thank you for the lovely experience

and the time you took out of your

day to teach us about old fashion

games and more. I really enjoyed

learning about the rules and games

they did back in the day!!

Tasmanian Devils

 Tasmanian devils

W.A.L.T: Synthesis what we read

Here are five most important facts about the tasmanian devil in my opionion C:

1.there the size of a small dog.

2.the inside of their ears turn

Bright red when they feel upset

or stressed.

3.Adult devils will eat baby tasmanian

Devils if they're hungry enough.

4.Tasmanian devils were almost

wiped out by people!

5.In summer the numbers increase

as the young devils come out of

their nests, but over half of them

die in the first few months because

of competition for food.

International night!

International night!

On Tuesday night, The whole of NBC got to pick 1 or 2 countries to perform a script, dance or song that is kind of linked to the country they picked, Room 2 (my class) picked Switzerland and India. We learned an Indian dance called Chanduri chundri a really nice lady (Jackie) taught us, We aslo sung the song lonely goatherd from the movie The Sound of Music.

I really enjoyed the practices but when we actually performed it on the steps I felt very nervous and worried I would mess up. At the end once we had finished I was relieved that I had done it. Before that happened each class had a food stool with food that parents and children had brung in, I ate some rice, hokey pokey ice cream and garlic bread (it was very good)

If you had to pick any country and learn something to dance or sing to, What would you choose?

School Trip!

On Thursday Room 2 went on a school trip to the museum, library and Margaret Mahy park. When we went to the library and this really lovely lady taught us games that people used to play back in the day and things kids used to do.

My favorite part was when we got to play the games, I played with my Marbles and the Poi’s.

Afterwards we had lunch outside of the library then we walked in and went to the back and got to do a fun challenge with legos, You had to make a new zealand native bird out of legos,My friends and I made a Red Billed Seagull then we played Just Dance on a big tv screen.

Once we had finished we walked to Margret Mahy park and played for a bit, It was very fun!! I liked going on the big greeny twisted slide. After an hour (or less) the bus came and took us back to school!!

Have you ever been to the museum? And if you have what was your favorite part about it?
